Writer's Block

Writer's block.  It happens to all of us.  Well maybe not those of us who aren't trying to be writers. Perhaps I picked the wrong calling.  I'm sure the Gap is hiring right now.  Or Hobby Lobby.  No wait, it would cost me money to work there, even with a discount.

Anyway, they say (whoever "they" are) that when you can't think of what to write, you should just sit down and write something.  Anything.  So here I am.  I've made all the to-do lists I can think of in the name of procrastination, but now is the time to sit down and work.

Normally, when I have writer's block, I switch tracks and work on a project instead. Unfortunately I seem to be having artist's block as well, so I'm really stuck.  This is where I turn to you, my lovely readers and friends.  I've been working on a painting, and can't decide whether it is finished, so I'm taking a poll.  The painting is made of strips of painted paper, woven together.  My question is whether to hang it as is, or stretch the piece on a frame.  Here's a sample of what it looks like.  (For the sake of context, the piece is pretty big, about 54" high by 44" wide.)

Free Form, hung on wall
Cropped, as if it were stretched on a frame
Yes, I know it's shameful, asking you to do my job for me, what can I say?  I got nuthin'.  Tell me what you think by leaving me a comment and voting for "Free Form" or "Framed."  Once I decide how to finish it, I'll post a tutorial on how to do one of your own, if you're interested.

Thanks for your input, and check back for the finished project to see if I took your advice!
