A Gift of Creativity

Two of my most precious friends gave me a gift this weekend for my (garbled mumbling)th birthday that really touched my heart.  I wanted to share it with you, to hopefully spark an idea for how to shower someone you love with encouragement.

They found a cute little birdcage and filled it with charcoal pencils, paintbrushes, cards and all sorts of art supplies and tools.  Then they clipped even more supplies and colorful paint chips to the outside, and even included little handwritten tags with great quotes on them.

They told me they hoped this would be my most creative year yet.  I am already inspired!

This was a birthday to remember.  I won't tell you how old I am, but suffice to say that it was a big one. One of the those that make you look at your life and wonder if you are where you're supposed to be at this point in your life.  Most artists tend to be filled with self-doubt, and I am no exception, but having friends affirm that I should be doing creative stuff meant so much to me!
